Jill Gad
In 2011 after 20 years in Human Resources/Recruiting and Public Relations in Akron, Ohio, famously known as The Rubber Capital of the World. We are also known for very cold and long grey winter days.
I came to Naples, Florida in 2011 and stayed for a season. I think it took me 2 days to decide to make SWFL my home. I picked up and moved to warmer sunny weather that January in 2012. While I do travel back to Ohio to see family and friends, I have called Marco Island my home sweet home for the past 10 years.
When I’m not working, I enjoy traveling with friends and family. I play tennis and pickle ball regularly and enjoy walking my rescue dog Gracie several times a day. (Truth be told – she walks ME.)
During my tenure here on Marco Island I have worked at The Dolphin Tiki Bar and Grill (on the property of Anglers Cove Condominiums) where I have met so many wonderful people who are here maybe just for a week, month, season or are full-time residents. I’ve become close with most of my regulars and “snowbirds” and have even made long term friends with those that were just here for the week. My motto is – “everyday on Marco is a vacation day, and my customers should have the most amazing experience.” Come to the Dolphin Tiki sometime – you’ll see – Island cocktails under a Tiki Hut right on the Marco River. You’ll see tropical birds and Dolphin too! It’s just… PARADISE.
I pursued a career in real estate because I found myself telling my customers my story of leaving my “corporate life” in Ohio and landing on this beautiful island. I found out from many, that they too were looking to make a change. I would connect them to a local realtor that I knew, but then one day I thought, “why don’t I get my real estate license?” And that’s what I did.
In January of 2019 I passed my real estate exam and began working with a Real Estate company on the Island. I am truly blessed when I say I have the best TWO jobs on the island. I work at a Tiki Bar and meet so many wonderful people and I also get to use my former recruiting skills – only this time I’m not filling a job position – I’m fulfilling AN ISLAND DREAM. Which, by the way, is much more fun!
My credentials include Bachelor’s in Public Relations and Human Resources from The University of Akron. Over 20 years in Customer Service and Sales. I truly love helping people and I take that seriously from giving them an excellent dining experience to finding them the home of their dreams. I have lived on the Island for 12 years now – which pretty much makes me a local. I would love to work with you and your family to help you purchase the home of your dreams or sell your current home.
As you can tell by now – I like to have fun, but I’m a professional first. But buying your Slice of Island life SHOULD be FUN!! It would be MY PLEASURE to meet you ‘down at the Tiki Bar’ to discuss YOUR ISLAND DREAMS.
